Colorful Summer Birthday Card

Today I’m sharing a short video with you of a card I decorated mainly with leftover scraps. I always find it amazing how much design paper real estate you can still pull from your scraps, and I always enjoy sharing my inspiration with you all to not throw away your scraps too easily 😉

This time I used the leftovers from my Springtime Dreams keepsake album, created with papers by Webster’s Pages, using their collection called Nest. The larger flowers are by Prima Marketing.

Enjoy and please subscribe if you like this project and would like to see more! 🙂

New Spring Home Card

Don’t you love spring? With nature – sometimes tentatively – stretching all of its green arms out to the sun, and the first flowers showing us this year’s latest Spring Colors (yes they’re the same as last year’s Spring Collection, but then again, that was gorgeous and absolutely worth the annual re-runs! 🙂 ).

So I was very happy to create this super springy New Home card, using the 2014 colorful spring collection by Webster’s Pages, called NestWhich I also used to create my Springtime Dreams Keepsake Album, so if you’d like to see more of this collection go check out that album!

I also used some vellum on the inside of this card, for some added interest, using the same technique as I did with the aforementioned Springtime Dreams project.

So let me know what you think!

Free Tutorial: Vellum Card in Black & White

Today I’m happy to share a tutorial with you all, of a sophisticated birthday card designed for a man. It’ll be great fun to make for all of you who, like me, don’t like to use any fluff when creating something for a guy. I always like to keep it clean and stylishly simple, and this time I’ve created the cleanest and simplest one yet of all of my projects for guys. 🙂

You can watch the show & tell video to see every detail of the card, so enjoy and have fun creating!

Tutorial

Let me know if you’d like me to do a (free) tutorial for this elegant card! (even years after this post is fine with me, just drop me line or leave a comment – I’m always in for new blog and/or video ideas 🙂 )

More detailed tutorials on a growing number of projects are available in my Etsy shop.

If you have any questions, just let me know!

How to Create a Step Card

Recently I showed you a new step card I created, and today I’m sharing a little video tutorial on how to create one yourself.

In the first 2 minutes I’m showing you a finished and fully decorated step card, the rest of this 7 minute video contains the tutorial.
Please be aware that I created this card with a step card die (by Crealies); you can of course also cut & score everything yourself, but that is not included in this video tutorial.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

Thank you for liking and subscribing, have fun crafting and see you next week!

Springtime Dreams Keepsake Album Deluxe

When I first created my Butterflies & Stars Keepsake Album Deluxe back in the fall of 2013, I had no idea it would become quite the scrapbooking hit on Youtube – as per today, it has gotten nearly 460,000 views and the number is still growing! Wow!

Unfortunately I have no explanation for this, since I have not been able to repeat these results… Its sister albums Flora & Fauna, Fairytale Treasures and Country Garden all had their shares of views, and so did my other projects, but none of them ever came anywhere near that unique number. I guess Youtube moves in mysterious ways… Oh well…

Anyway, I received (and am still receiving) a lot of requests for a tutorial on this type of album, this ‘double-spined’ gatefold-like type of album that I’ve dubbed Keepsake Album Deluxe.

And I have some great news for all of those lovely people: I’ve now been able to create this tutorial, and it is huge! It sports 132 pages with 418 pictures!
And it’s available to you now as a digital download in my Etsy shop.

To write a tutorial I of course had to create the project, for I had to take pictures of every step of the process. So here’s the latest edition of my Keepsake Album Deluxe, created using Webster’s Pages’ Nest collection, and I’m calling it Springtime Dreams. 🙂

Enjoy the video and let me know what you think!
